Inherent is the wine range of ERAVi, a winery in the Penedès, a wine region near Barcelona. This is a case of wine label design for a winery range: the name, the labels and the back label, which we worked on with Maria Subirana, a designer, sharing the process equally.
The challenge
The wines of ERAVi, from the Mas d’en Palau estate, needed a name for the range and labels that would make them recognizable as a family while leaving room for each wine.
The process
The name came out of a presentation of concepts and names that we made with Maria Subirana. Inherent speaks of the characteristics that most define the activity at the Mas, among them wine and the way it is made. The labels are on textured paper, and each wine has its own color: one green, one white and one lilac. The label for 82 carries the number in white. The back label holds the logo and the wine’s text. The labels are printed by ADET Adhesius Trullols.
The result
The range is recognized on the bottle by the paper, the color of each label and the back label. The logo on the back label comes from the ERAVi identity, and the winery’s label work continues in 82 and Esvalot.
